Okay so I have been slacking on the posts! Today was my last day of work, and surprisingly I got things put away so I could leave at a decent hour. Well actually I started to throw things in my closet and told myself that was good enough :). Here are some pictures from the last couple of months. Hopefully I will post sometime soon since I will be home a littel this summer.

Okay so Copeland is now a little over nineteen months and we have had 8 haircuts as of tonight! Hmmm.... $20 a haircut can add up quick. I mean I only make it twice a year maybe to get my haircut :). Tonight's haircut was a little different since we let daddy take a turn and give our little guy a cut. Last month when we took Copeland to get his hair cut we decided to go shorter than before. This time, well you can take a look for yourself. I will say he ran around as happy as can be when he was done. It may have also be the ice cream cone he had for dessert that made him so excited!

New Camera!

We got a new camera this week, because we think Copeland has tossed our other one in the trash. Who knows, it might show up now! Here are some pictures of Copeland. He loves to get in the dryer. He is also into stading in his chair to see what we are doing in the kitchen. Tonight he actually helped make St. Patrick's Day cookies to take with him this week. Check out the cool apron he got when he went to his friend Marleigh's birthday party.

Okay so it's been a good while since my last post, but tonight we have major news to share!!!!!

Copeland went potty like a big boy tonight! He has been taking his diaper off for weeks now and just sitting on the potty, but tonight he really went. I think I was so excited I scared him, so hopefully he will choose to go again! I'll keep you posted!

The New Year

A new year has come and things are going well so far. Copeland is growing each day and it is so awesome to see how much he is learning. He says a new word everyday it seems like. He is also very good about making sure you know what he likes and dislikes. Right now he is in a very lovey mood so whatever you do for him you get a big kiss for it. I'll enjoy that for a little while longer before he decides that not the "cool" thing to do.

I have started back to school and am already somewhat overwhelmed by all there is to do and get done in such a little time. Four books to read in 8 weeks, and that's only one of my two classes for now. It's amazing how you can find time to read when you have to. I never seem to have time to read just for pleasure. I will say the first book for my class is an easy read in that I don't' have to stop and think about what I've read. Now the other three I'm not sure that will be the case. I just keep thinking 12 more months and this master's program will be complete! Luckily I have a wonderful friend that I am working with on the Capstone and we get along really well.

Adam is doing good. Doing little jobs here and there. I know that a big job is waiting out there for him somewhere, we just have to be patient. He's been busy around the house working outside, painting our bathroom, and now is currently working on getting the garage painted. I have to go and pick out a color for Copeland's bathroom so he can do that next. After that the whole house will look new with all the pretty paint!

The day after Christmas our hard drive went out in our computer so I have not downloaded any pictures for a while. I was so made at my self at first because I had only put the pictures until August 1st on CD's. The rest of the pictures, including Copeland's 1st birthday were on our old computer. My mom suggested I take a look at the Kodak website to see if my pictures were saved on there. I hadn't gone there before and didn't think anything about my albums that I send out were actually stored somewhere. All of Copeland's birthday photos are on there and all the albums I have sent since then are on there too. I know there are more that I won't get back, but if I sent them out then most likely those are ones I really liked. Below you will find some pictures that were taken recently.

Well December has come and gone so quickly this year. It was filled with fun and laughter at our house and we enjoyed all the festivities that came with the month. On the fourth we celebrated my birthday with our traditional Santa picture and eating somewhere around the mall. Last year when we took Copeland to see Santa he was asleep by the time we made it to see him. This year he did not have a nap all day long and was not feeling the Christmas spirit. He is on the go all the time now and does not want to stop. Needless to say he was not happy when mommy gave him to Santa to hold. We have a lovely picture of Santa and Copeland. Copeland has a raisin box in his hand and a mouthful of raisins that you can see as he is crying. Daddy ended up taking Copeland to see the doctor the following Monday and we found out he had an ear infection and bad conjestion. A couple weeks later Copeland made another visit to see Santa with his cousin Melody while mommy was at work, and Copeland has a grin from ear to ear.

Christmas Eve we went to church for a family service. I was not sure how that would go seeing Copeland hasn't spent time with us in service since he was only a few months old. But seeing as it was a family service I figured they were expecting little people to carry on as usual. He did pretty good thanks to the animal crackers dad had packed!!! We made it all the way to the last 5 minutes and then I had to walk him out to the main hallway to run. It was wonderful to spend time with him that night at church as a family. We had fun singing Christmas carols and listening to the Christmas story. This night was also a nice time spent with my family (mom, dad, Cooper, mamaw, papaw, and Aunt Diane). We celebrate together every year on the 24th and we had a blast this year. Copeland was very exctied about unwrapping presents this year and he was on the go tearing into any gift he could get his hands on. Next year we will not even worry about putting things in bags for him. If it's not wrapped then he didn't want it.

Christmas morning we were up at 5 in our house. Not because Copeland was mindful that Santa had come, but because it was time for a milk cup and diaper change. Not very thrilled by all the new toys until after a little bit to eat and drink. This year Copeland was spoiled by Santa and all that he left. Santa even made it to Gammie and G's house to leave a really cool kitchen. Now Copeland walks around the house feeding us pretend food and saying he's a good cook. Another awesome thing Santa brought was a new wagon. It was a hit and all morning long he would sit in his wagon and watch disney.

Since the 25th we have spent time playing with all the new toys and I finally got all the Christmas decorations packed up. Before I would have left them out and enjoyed them a little longer, but at this point there are so many other things laying around the house it was kind of nice for some room. We hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas too!!!!

Tonight is our traditional chinese dinner and maybe I'll be able to watch the peach drop this year.

Here we are again at Burt's Pumpkin farm. Much cooler than the first weekend we went and way more people to manuvor around. I put Copeland in the wheelbarrow when we first got there and he loved it. This way I wouldn't have to chase him around all the other people. Infact he loved it so much he was very upset with mommy when she took him out to go pick a pumpkin for Gammie and G's house. Then Gammie showed him how to put the pumpkin in the wheelbarrow and it was much better! We had a great time looking at all the pumpkins and our little pumpkin himself picked out the couple that we brought home. We even got one of those pumpkins with the warts all over them. I think those are pretty neat looking.

Afterwards we set up a picnic lunch on the lawn outside of the farm. I've always seen people do this and just could never rememeber to bring lunch when we came. This was Copeland's first picnic and I do believe he thoroughly enjoyed himself. He was more interested in what everyone else was eating, which was the same as what he had on his plate, but that didn't matter. I think what he liked most about the picnic was that he didn't have to sit in his highchair. That by the way is something we are having an issue with now. He will sit and eat for a little while, but he is such a busy little guy he wants to get going quickly. Hmmm. Maybe that's why we can only eat at fast food resturants every so often and not a rea place.

After lunch we were off to the Apple Orchards in Elijay. I have never picked apples before so that was a fun experience. Copeland was so tired from the earlier activities that I wasn't sure if he was going to make it through this one. He had a blast and even got to go to the petting zoo.

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went with Adam's family to Burt's Pumpkin Patch, next weekend we will make another trip there with my parents and sister, and we will buy a pumpkin this next time around. Last Saturday we took Copeland for his second annual pumpkin patch visit and I must say he loved it! He enjoyed running around and playing with the pumpkins. This was very different from last year when he was 2 months old and could hardly believe his parents would take him to such a place LOL. We went on the hayride for the first time this year and it was a lot of fun. Copeland got a little restless towards the end, because the noise and movement were putting him to sleep, but it was fun.

Copeland is doing much better! He is running around and having a good time. Tomorrow I will take him to the pediatrician and let them follow up with the allergic reaction. Hopefully he will look good and they can tell us where to go from here. Thank you to those of you that have called and checked on him! It's wonderful having friends and family that care!

What A Scare!

This afternoon I checked my phone and had a missed call from Adam. I called him back a few minutes later and asked what he was up to. I figured it would be the same old "just working". This time he said "I am parking my car at the fire station. Copeland has had an allergic reaction to peanut butter." My heart just sank. I know that I hadn't sent him any peanut butter so I wasn't sure where he had gotten it from. He and his cousin Melody were eating snack on the floor and watching tv. He had his snack and she had hers. He wanted to try some of her, which were crackers with peanut butter on them. The doctor gave us the okay at this one year check up but I have still been leary about it and wasn't ready to venture there just yet. It took about 5 minutes and he started to itch and scratch his whole body. Ruth called Adam and he left work immediately. She then called the pediatrician who said as long as he was not swelling then to bring him to the office to get checked out. Okay that's only a 35 minute drive. Adam made it and picked Copeland up and saw all of the red rash on his body, but no real swelling. Adam makes it a little ways down the road and sees that Copeland's eye is closing up due to swelling and he is starting to wheeze. Something came over Adam and he said he knew that he would not make it in time to get to the pediatrician, instead he stopped at the fire station and quickly had the guys come out and take a look at our pitiful little guy. They were new faces and all Copeland could do with one good eye is look at them and smile. Such a sweet love! They told Adam to park the car and they got into the ambulance. Adam said he looked so small in the big chair they had him in. He was buckled up and ready to go. They hooked him up to a difibulator just in case and then gave him a shot of benedryl. Poor baby begins to cry and puts all the other men in the ambulance in tears as well. There was no need for lights and a siren since he was not critical on the ride to the hospital. I ended up making it almost exactly the same time as them. I go into the emergency room and see Adam holding my little guy. He was all red and blotchy. I just wanted to love on him. Well he didn't want any of that he wanted to get down and move around. The wonderful nurses and doctors had him out of there in no time once his breathing became normal. One nurse even looked all over for some sort of toy for Copeland to hold on to. All she found was a stuffed camel with a yamaka. We name him "Peanut", bet we'll never forget why! We have been asked to keep an eye on him and make sure he is doing fine for the next couple of days. We will follow up with the pediatrician and have them check him out in a few days as well. Tonight he did well and wanted to play and have a good time. All I could get him to eat were some cheerios and a dinner roll, but that was enough for me! It was a very scary experience, but it could of happened at any time. I'm just glad that daddy was the hero of the day! We love our baby boy and would give him the world. I've said it before, but it is truly amazing how much I love that little guy. I thank God that he is sleeping peacefully tonight!

Same old Same old!

Well nothing has really been going on lately. Copeland has been feeling good, I've been working on masters papers and such, and Adam has been helping out a lot lately. September has been somewhat of a busy month with school and class at night, so it's nice to not have too much to report. A couple of weekends ago Copeland attended his first birthday party that was not his own. Davis turned 3 and we were invited to Jump Zone for the festivities! We had a great time and Copeland was good and tired when it was time to go.

Sickness

My poor little guy has been sick since Sunday! No fever though. Adam took him to the doctor yesterday, and they said it was just a bug he needed to get over himself :(. Very sad for mommy, but today he did eat crackers, soup, and applesauce. That is good. We'll try milk tomorrow. I know he's getting better though. Just so sad to see your little one sick and there isn't much you can do about it. I have enjoyed the cuddling though!!!!

Okay, here is my little guy all grown up, well almost! I took him to picture people today and had his pictures done. It was so hard to decided which ones to get! If you've ever been there, then you know they frame most of your pictures with expectations that you will purchase way more than you can! Of course he was sooooo cute and I wanted to buy them all. I will say I did have my willpower today and did not fall into the temptation. I got a few pictures and then I saved the rest to my computer. Yes they have a proof on top of them, but hey I can still look at them in the future even if I never had them printed!!!! Gotta love my little man!

Boogie's 1st Birthday!

Oh my goodness! My Boogie Bear is 1 years old! We had such a great time at his birthday party. He loved showing off his walking skills as well as making sure everyone knew that it was his day! It was great to have so many family and friends come out and enjoy Copeland's special day with us. The weather was great and the company was even better. What more could a little guy ask for!

Okay!!!! So I cannot believe that my little guy turns one tomorrow! I just don't know where all the time has gone. Tonight I made the cupcakes for his party and I had to make an extra one for him! He loved it and didn't want to stop eating so he could get a bath and clean up :). I'll post a picture later once I have them downloaded. Tomorrow will be a lot of fun. We've got friends and family coming to celebrate Copeland and his first year here with us!!!! I know he will enjoy all the excitement and socializing.

Fun Day With Mommy!

This morning I had to drive to Piedmont College to buy my textbooks for my upcoming classes. I decided that I would show Copeland where mommy went to school and find a few fun things to do before heading back and sitting in the car for another 50 minutes. We bought my books and then headed over to the lake. Since I've graduated they have added a new fine arts building across the lake. There is a very pretty bridge with benches that goes right to it. We took some pictures and looked for some ducks. It was awfully hot, but once we go to the Swanson Center we sat in the shade and enjoyed the breeze. We then headed back over to campus and played on the new playground. They had a cool bumble bee bouncy seat that Copleland loved!!! Then we were off to the swings and the cool slide!

Last but not least it was lunch time. We hopped in the car and drove over to Gusben's for some chicken fingers and fries. Yummy! I must say it was very quite in the restaurant and I was a little afraid that my little man would make too much noise. He did very well and there was not one scream the whole lunch time. I told him he was a wonderful lunch date!

Now we are home and just hanging out until dinner with the family tonight! What a nice Friday!

Socks the Monkey

We finally have something that Copeland loves to sleep with and carry around. It is his sock monkey "Socks", that his gammie and g gave him. This morning was one of those times I wish I had been videoing getting Copeland out of bed. He slept for 11 1/2 hours and then work up very happy. I love those morningings!!!! I walk in and he's standing up in his crib "Socks" in hand and he's just smiling and talking away! I love being a mommy!

Ready or Not!!!

Ready or not here comes school! I must say I do love my job, and I would not trade it for anything in the world. I'm just so sad that summer has to come to an end and I have to spend the day away from Copeland. I enjoy spending the day with my little guy and playing!!! Too bad that job doesn't pay :). I know once we are back at work then things get so busy and the time goes by pretty fast. We are going to enjoy the last few days we have before things get busy!!!!!

My First Post!!!! Summer Time!

Summer is here and we are enjoying the last week! Copeland has grown so much and is into everything. Here is a quick recap of this summers events thus far!

Went to New Smyrna Beach June 7-14! Had a blast, but realized Copeland is not a travel baby. Drove during nap and bedtime so it made it much easier on everyone. Copeland we now know loves to eat and play with sand, and only likes water if it's the amount of his bathtub.

Two haircuts have come and gone for our little man. His hair grows so fast!!! He loves the little place we got to because it has a car he can sit in while he watches a movie and eats animal crackers! Whoever thought of that was a genious!

Copeland almost has three teeth all the way in. The two bottom ones have been in for a while but the top is getting there.

We have been pacifier free for most of the summer. Of course I waited until after the vacation to start that one.

We do not have anymore bottles! Sad for momma, but I'm glad it was an easy transition!

Copeland had his baby dedication at church on Father's Day. Both grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousin were able to make it for this special occasion.

We have had fun at a new park not too far from the house. A few weeks ago with our friend Annabelle and her mommy were able to join us for some playtime and lunch.

Copeland attended his first vacation bible school while mommy volunteered with the pre-k kids. He had a blast and was able to spend the week with 5 other boys his age, and his teacher was the same from his Sunday School Class. We have a picture collage and a certificate to show what a fun week he had!

Copeland has taken his first steps. I'm so happy this happened before I have to go back to work!!! He is now showing off all his new skills!!!

He can now feed himself with a spoon.

Copeland has been able to spend time playing with all his little friends born days and weeks from his birthday as well as meet a few new friends that were born in the past few months.

We've had fun at Mamaw and Papaw's house a good bit this summer as well! Copeland loves to see how much stuff he can get into over there!!!
